Virginia Bankers’ Bank was chartered in
1986 and began serving community banks throughout the Commonwealth
of Virginia. In 1996, the name was changed to Community Bankers’
Bank and the market was expanded to include financial institutions
in Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and
the District of Columbia (the 5th Federal Reserve District).
Community Bankers’ Bank is a correspondent bank owned and directed by community banks and is one of only twenty bankers’ banks in the country to serve the banking needs of financial institutions. CBB provides select, value-added products and services for its clients in addition to introducing services previously unavailable, thereby allowing them to succeed in their marketplace. CBB does not compete against its clients for their business.
